The deadline for applications for bursaries for black and minority ethnic journalism students has been extended to 5pm on Monday 16 August.
The George Viner Memorial Fund is the NUJ’s charity which promotes diverse media workplaces in the UK and Ireland by offering bursaries to help with tuition fees, the cost of travel and accommodation.
As a George Viner Scholar, you receive much more than financial assistance. You will be invited to open days, conferences and meetings relating to your chosen field of journalism and have the support of the trustees throughout your course as well as mentoring and career guidance.
