The co-chairs of the UK parliamentary group are Grahame Morris, Labour MP for Easington, and Liberal Democrat peer Jane Bonham Carter, Baroness Bonham-Carter of Yarnbury. The members are from across the political spectrum and work with the union in promoting its campaigns and policy and in scrutiny of legislation that affects members.
The NUJ is not affiliated to any political party and organises meetings and campaigns with politicians on union priorities agreed by NUJ members.
