NUJ members vote for industrial action at STV
There has been an overwhelming strike vote at the Scottish broadcaster.
The results of the ballot were 85 per cent for strike action and 93 per cent for action short of a strike. STV's original offer was £2,000 to each employee.
John Toner, NUJ national organiser Scotland, said:
“We are delighted with both the turnout and the result of our ballot. Our members are showing tremendous unity and a commitment to achieving an offer that is an improvement on the original. We are scheduled to meet STV management on January 9, and I am confident the conversation will be a meaningful one. Thank you to all members who voted.”
