Election of general secretary
The NUJ’s national executive council will meet next week to formally confirm the election of Michelle Stanistreet for a further term as general secretary.
Elections are held every five years. At the close of nominations on Monday only one application had been received, that of Michelle Stanistreet. A meeting of the NEC will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 12 noon to formally ratify Michelle, who has completed two terms in the role.
