One Year Without Dom and Bruno

Honour the lives and work of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira in the Amazon and discuss ongoing threats to indigenous people in Javari Valley.

To mark the anniversary of the killings of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira, the family and friends of Dom Phillips invite you to join them in London to remember and honour their lives and work and discuss the quest for justice, tensions in the Brazilian Amazon, the critical, ongoing threats to Indigenous Peoples in the Javari Valley and how we can help to continue their work.

Please join us in solidarity and to hear the latest news from the Javari Valley where the two men were murdered last 5 June.

We will have a frontline report from Carol Santana of the Observatory for the Human Rights of Isolated and Recent Contact Indigenous Peoples (OPI); video messages from the Javari-based indigenous organisation UNIVAJA and the partners of Dom and Bruno, Alessandra Sampaio and Beatriz Matos; speeches by Dom's sister and niece, Sian Phillips and Domonique Davies, and news from Guardian environment editor Jonathan Watts on the collaborative effort to complete Dom's book, "How to Save the Amazon: Ask the People Who Know."

Speakers, exhibition, music & drinks.

* All donations will go towards the completion of Dom's book.

Organised by the family & friends of Dom Phillips and Brazil Matters with support from Greenpeace
