For Dom, Bruno & the Amazon - hosted by the NUJ

The NUJ is hosting an exhibition from 18-20 January in honour of journalist Dom Phillips and indigenous expert Bruno Pereira murdered in the Amazon.

From 18-20 January, NUJ members and the public can learn more about the work of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira, and of several defenders of the Amazon killed for their efforts.

The in-person exhibition will explore the impact of illegal mining, logging and climate change on the Amazon and indigenous peoples.

On 19 January, the union will hold an evening event with exhibition organiser Fiona Frank and Domonique Davies (creator). Dr Jamille Pinheiro Dias, lecturer in environmental humanities at the School of Advanced Study (University of London) will also address attendees on the evening.

The event will be chaired by Michelle Stanistreet, NUJ general secretary. Spaces are limited.

Venue: National Union of Journalists, Headland House, 72 Acton Street, London WC1X 9NB
