Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, at least 29 journalists have been killed including 24 from Palestine, four from Israel and one from Lebanon, with several injured and others missing. The NUJ is in close contact with the International Federation of Journalists and sister union Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate, and this month we sent £20,000 to support the work of the fund, helping fund the provision of urgent medical kits to journalists working in Gaza. Journalists need your support, and donations to the IFJ Safety Fund make all the difference. We are urging all NUJ members to donate now to support colleagues and help with the provision of essential items and aid.
