Know your health & safety rights as a freelance

This 60-minute FEU online workshop will identify the responsibilities and duties that a client has to a freelance, using UK health and safety legislation.

It will explore how trade unions can play a role in ensuring work safety, challenge poor practices and build collective strength among staff and self-employed colleagues.

Workshop aims:

  • Identify challenges faced by freelancers.
  • Develop confidence to understand and use legal frameworks for health and safety.
  • Be clear what a client’s legal duties and responsibilities are.
  • Consider the support available from your trade union.
