On the eve of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists the NUJ has organised a silent vigil outside the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London to pay respect to Jamal Khashoggi, a leading journalist and columnist and an outspoken critic of the Saudi regime, who was killed on Tuesday 2 October at the consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul, Turkey.
As more chilling evidence emerges about the murder, the International Federation of Journalists has called on the international community to stop appeasing the Saudi regime.
Please come along to mark your respect for Jamal Khashoggi and to show your support for the battle to end impunity for the enemies of journalism.
On Monday night, 29 October, Michelle Stanistreet, NUJ general secretary, will be speaking at Remembering Jamal, an evening of remembrance for the life, work and thoughts of Jamal Khashoggi, in London,
