This event will address the basics of copyright as it pertains to journalists and will explore the following questions:

  • What is copyright: who owns it?
  • What are moral rights?
  • What does creative commons license mean?
  • How do you express your copyright?
  • What to ask for when granting permission to use your work How to get paid for your copyright How to challenge infringements


This event is open to writers, photographers, videographers and anyone else interested in understanding copyright and challenging infringement.

Spaces are limited and priority will be given to NUJ members. If you are not an NUJ member please select general ticket.
