Keeping the Right to Strike
This year's Trade Union Co-ordinating Group Tolpuddle seminar will bring unions together for the first time since the Trade Union Act was passed to discuss and formulate a positive and coordinated fight against the reforms.
It will address the government’s ideological attack on trade unions through the Act. The discussion will focus on practical options for unions in the face of the enactment of the law. This seminar is the first step in formulating a strong and coordinated trade union response to the legislation to ensure all unions and their members are supported when embarking on action in the face of growing government hostility and legal challenges.
After months of active campaigning against the bill, the TUCG will continue to be at the forefront of the fight against the Tories hostile legislation. We hope you can join us at the seminar and we look forward to your contribution to the discussion.
Chair: Mick Cash, RMT general secretary.
Speakers: John Hendy QC; Caroline Lucas MP; Louise Regan, NUT senior vice president; Mark Serowtka, PCS general secretary; and Liz Lawrence, UCU past president.
