Authors Christopher Dolan and Kei Miller will read from their latest books, historian Stephen Mullen will speak about Scottish merchants’ monopolisation of slave produce and Professor Paul Sutton will talk about independence, power and politics in Haiti.

Paul Sutton is co-editor of ‘Politics and Power in Haiti’; Kei Miller is the author of several books including ‘Kingdom of Empty Bellies’ and ‘There Is an Anger That Moves’; Christopher Dolan’s most recent novel ‘Redlegs’ explores Scottish descendants in Barbados; and Stephen Mullen is the author of ‘It Wisnae Us’ about Scotland’s role in the trans -Atlantic slave trade.
