The Barbican, London EC2Y 8DS

This three-day symposium, funded by the Reva and David Logan Foundation, is focused on journalists and hacktivists and is committed to a digital world free of spying, intrusion and the increasing authoritarian invasions of our privacy.

Investigative journalists will offer hacktivists a social and political context, and expertise in evidence-based storytelling; hacktivists will offer an insight into digital tools to protect journalists and their sources and ways of accessing and exposing evidentially-based material about truth in our time. The exchange of expert advice and opinion offers both communities, and others, an opportunity to gain confidence in dealing with current and future cyber threats.

The speakers include Seymour Hersh, Laura Poitras, Charles Lewis, Julian Assange, John Pilger and Gavin Millar QC.
