Details

Taking place a day ahead of the UK Conference of Science Journalists 2018, the workshop will explore the pain points faced by journalists reporting on science and consumer affairs and come up with practical solutions which can be taken back to newsrooms and implemented.

The workshop will be hosted by Fergus Bell, founder of Dig Deeper Media and award-winning multi-format journalist, trainer and leading expert in digital newsgathering and the fight against disinformation. His bio is here. He has won acclaim for his pop-up newsroom concept, which offers a structured approach to problem-solving for newsrooms.

This event is free of charge and will be followed by a drinks reception and dinner. The workshop has limited capacity (max 12 participants) and we are keen to ensure a diversity of viewpoints.

If you or a member of your team is interested in attending please let us know as soon as possible. Please note that priority will be given to journalists working for news organisations in keeping with the theme of the workshop.
