Rich Peppiatt resigned from his post as a Daily Star reporter, disgusted at the excesses of unethical and commercialised journalism he was expected to write under the constant threat of being replaced by people who were willing to toe the management line.
He then turned the tables on tabloid editors, door-stepping them to ask hilarious but pointed questions about the material and standards their papers were increasingly scrambling to cover in a race to the bottom - and filming them while doing so.
The result is One Rogue Reporter, a 90-minute film chronicling Rich Peppiatt's interviews with taboid editors. Touching on press freedom, privacy and the ethics of the press, and with supporting material from the likes of Nick Davies, Owen Jones and comedian John Bishop, this highly acclaimed comedy film is one every journalist or anyone with an interest in the UK media should see.
