Welcome to the National Union of Journalists - London Freelance Branch.

We meet on the second Monday of each month at NUJ HQ - branch business 7 pm and speakers at 8 pm. Please visit to view upcoming speakers & events.

This month we are looking at how we can support journalists facing violence worldwide.

The meeting will include a report from Afghanistan, where 10 journalists were killed in a series of targeted attacks in April. LFB's own Safiullah Tazib, who has recently returned from that country, will tell us about his meeting with Afghan journalists' associations. the other speaker is Ernest Sagaga, head of human rights and safety for the International Federation of Journalists, from Brussels.

If you are interested in standing for the branch committee, come to this meeting. We have three vacancies.

This meeting is for members only but GUESTS ARE WELCOME! (tick the guest option when you sign up and please let us know in advance if you plan to bring someone).

RSVP on the Eventbrite website
