Welcome to the National Union of Journalists: London Freelance Branch.
What will happen to our many EU national colleagues after the UK leaves the European Union just over ten months from now, and after the end of the "transitional arrangements" - currently scheduled to cease at the end of 2020? What fate awaits our UK national colleagues living and working in EU countries?
This is of particular concern to the self-employed, whose long-term residency status is usually more precarious than those in employment.
That's the topic of this LFB meeting - which is close to the second anniversary of the EU referendum.
Our speakers will be Claudia Delpero and Adrian Berry.
Claudia, a former European Parliament press officer, founded the Europe Street News website, which covers "everything related to being European citizens" and "the relationship between the UK and the EU." @EuropeStreet
Adrian, a barrister at Garden Court Chambers, specialises in freedom of movement, migration and citizenship. He chairs the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association. @GardenCourtLaw
This meeting is for members only, however you are welcome to bring a guest (tick the guest option when you sign up).
