Details
This one-day course organised by London Freelance Branch for journalists will cover topics including: understanding data and risk, assessing data quality, surveys, data sources such as government and open data, freedom of information, combining and manipulating data and graphing.
Please note that the course will not directly cover spreadsheet software and no knowledge of spreadsheets is needed.
Those attending will need to bring their own laptop or a tablet device with a keyboard. Some exercises will require a larger screen than a smartphone.
Maximum students: 16
Tutor: SA Mathieson is a freelance analyst, journalist and editor, covering IT, government and healthcare.
The course fee includes tea and coffee breaks.
