The European Forum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Christian Groups is an ecumenical association of LGBT Christian groups in Europe. The European Forum aims to achieve equality and inclusion for LGBT people within and through Christian churches, other religious bodies and multilateral organisations.

The European Forum works for freedom of religion, for human rights and dignity for LGBT people and for an affirmative discourse on human sexuality. The European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups holds an Annual Conference in a different country each year.

The TUC is proud to be part of the conference which will welcome LGBT+ Christians from across Western and Eastern Europe on 27 – 29 June. The UK in many ways at the forefront of inclusion for LGBT+ peoples, and this is noticeable in legislation, the workplace, and civil attitudes. However, we acknowledge that there is still work to be done in all of these sectors, as well as faith groups. The conference is a chance for LGBT+ Christians from across Europe to network, be inspired, and learn.

The theme for the 2019 conference is BREAKING NEW GROUND, in which we are planning to explore in greater detail issues of Identity, Spirituality, Advocacy and Education.

There will be plenaries, workshop sessions and a day Conference on Saturday 29 June at Bloomsbury Baptist Church with themes including; LGBT+ people opening up new visions of sexuality;  LGBT+ people exploring new gender understandings; LGBT+ people modelling new ways of relationships & family;  LGBT+ people developing new ways of promoting human rights and advocacy; LGBT+ people showing new ways of being global people of God ;LGBT+ people building up new forms of Christian and interfaith unity; and LGBT+ people creating new expressions of worship & spirituality.
