Implications of Climate Change for Investment Returns and for Beneficiaries
This free training workshop, supported by the NUJ, Unison and ShareAction, will provide an overview of the relationships between climate change and financial investments. By working through case studies and taking part in group discussions, attendees will become better equipped to assess their fund's climate risk exposure and understand the steps to take to start tackling them.
The training will be delivered by Meg Brown a freelance climate finance expert who was Global Head of SRI and Climate Research at Citi Investment Research from 2008-2012. A well-respected financial analyst in this specialist area, Meg has also worked with BlueBay Asset Management, Carbon Tracker Initiative, The Global Impact Investors Network (GIIN) UK Liaison.
ShareAction is a UK registered charity that works to promote an investment system which serves savers, society and the environment. In particular, it encourages pension funds and other institutional investors to be active owners of listed companies and to integrate long term environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks into investment analysis and shareholder engagement.
