Twitter. It seems simple enough, doesn’t it? A worldwide network of 645 million people connecting, sharing and conversing like never before, it has become a crucial tool for journalists.
But trying to harness its opportunities for work and wading through the deluge of daily tweets can seem like a daunting task which threatens to gobble your precious time. Who do I follow? How do I find them? What’s a dashboard? How do I pinpoint updates important to me? Why are lists critical for my online relationships? How do I make myself stand out? Why will the hashtag help me? How do I get my messages in 140 characters or less?
The tutorial will be led by Jeroen Gaudissabois, a digital media specialist at Porter Novelli. For the past 18 months, Jeroen has been harnessing the power of Twitter to develop social media strategies and gather intelligence for a number of the world’s most recognisable names, including HP, Pfizer and Douwe Egberts
His passionate approach will provide you with ideal hands-on experience, so don’t forget your laptop or tablet. Places are limited to 20 for all continental branches. Don’t leave it too late to sign up.
