Details

Are there things about the NUJ that you'd like to change? Are there campaigns out there that you think the NUJ should be involved in? Your chance is coming.

The NUJ's Delegate Meeting (DM), which happens every two years, will take place from Thursday 14 April to Sunday 17 April 2016. The DM is the major decision-making body of the NUJ at which several hundred NUJ delegates discuss and vote on motions submitted to the conference. The motions passed become NUJ policy for the next two years.

Our next branch meeting, on 27 October, is our opportunity to propose and discuss motions that we want to put to the conference before the deadline of 23 November. We will discuss who we'd like to send to DM as branch delegates (nominations will be due in January).

We will also have the opportunity to nominate people to a wide variety of NUJ roles in councils and committees for the 2016-18 term. Details of the current vacancies will be posted to the NUJ website as they are announced.

The meeting will take place on the top floor of the NUJ Headquarters, Headland House, on Gray's Inn road.

In addition, we will also cover normal branch business - approving new members, submitting proposals for events or projects, discussing concerns and providing updates from chapels/workplaces.

This event is for NUJ members only. Please consider joining the NUJ if you would like to attend this event.
