London Independent broadcasting and new media

It’s AGM time again – time to look back on the past year and elect a new branch committee.

We’ve also got a speaker lined up - Thomas Barlow from the Media Fund. The Media Fund is an online crowdfund that allows you to directly support media teams - such as New Internationalist, Radical Film Network, Media Diversified, Novara Media, and many more. Come along and hear about the Media Fund’s work and, if you’re interested, how to get involved.

The meeting will be during the union’s Local News Matters campaign week, so Thomas will talk a bit about their local news members. And maybe discuss what we can do to turn around London’s declining local news media.

To top a busy meeting schedule, we’ll have a short branch meeting at the end to elect new members and discuss any issues you’re having a work.

We’ll be gathering from 6pm – tea and coffee will be provided – for a start at 6:30pm.

This event is for NUJ members only. Please consider joining the NUJ if you would like to attend this event.
