At the end of last year, the tragic death of Savita Halappanavar in Ireland, after being denied a potentially life-saving abortion, caused outrage around the world.
Weeks earlier it was announced that Ireland’s first abortion clinic would open in Belfast, a move which has seen anti-choice politicians and activists immediately attempt to shut it down.
In Britain, abortion clinics are struggling against a rising tide of hardline anti-choice protesters harassing women using their services.
Abortion Rights has put together a great line-up of campaigners, politicians and service providers from the Irish Republic, Northern Ireland and the UK to give us their insight into all these issues.
The event is free and open to all. You don't need a ticket, but it would be great if you could email us and let us know you're coming so we can get an idea of numbers.
