Stop privatisation of BBC Radio: public meeting in Parliament to protest against the proposal to outsource 60 per cent of BBC Radio at the House of Commons, Committee Room 9, on Wednesday 16 November. A survey of NUJ members in BBC Radio found 100 per cent said the plans would damage  the service. Do BBC Radio listeners really want their much-loved programmes to be made by private companies whose overriding principle is (and has to be) profit rather than serving the public interest?
