3rd European Conference of Science Journalists: the Association of British Science Writers and European Union of Science Journalists Associations look forward to welcoming science journalists to Manchester to meet colleagues old and new and discover common themes and issues, Saturday 23 July.

Tolpuddle Festival
: book now for the annual event, a vibrant mix of political debate, speeches, music, poetry, comedy, stalls and lots of entertainment for children, to  commemorate the contribution of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, 15 to 17 July.


Journalists on PRs: PRs on Journalists

PRWeek and Press Gazette have launched a survey to find out what journalists think of PR professional and vice versa. The information will be used for features in both titles. Please take 10 minutes or so to complete the survey. Names of those taking part will be put in a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to either Press Gazette’s British Journalism Awards or the PRWeek Awards later this year.

Petition your MP on workers’ rights: ask your MP to promise not vote for any reduction in British workers' rights, or restrict their applicability, when interpreting EU law into post-Brexit UK law. Sign this petition.

Jacobs Science Writer Fellowship 2016: applications for these five-day, all expenses paid science journalism fellowships, for print, broadcast and online, in Zurich, are now open. Deadline, Sunday 21 August.
