More industrial action planned at Darlington newspapers


Journalists at Newsquest North East have returned to work this afternoon – but given management notice of more industrial action next week.

Yesterday members of the National Union of Journalists at the Darlington-based group held a union meeting all afternoon and evening as part of a dispute over job cuts and a pay freeze.

They reconvened at noon today – but returned to work after two hours as a gesture of good will.
