How much will it cost?

Cost of membership is based on the sector in which you work and how much you earn. No member should pay more than 1 per cent of their gross taxable income in NUJ contributions or 0.5 per cent if they earn less than £13,600 per year (subject to a minimum of one third of Grade 1 rate).

Members in New Media are graded according to their employer.Student membership £25 for the duration of the course.

As agreed at ADM November 2009 - The new contributions rates are as follows:

Minimum (below £10,276 per year) & temporary membership rates are now: £51.38.

The ½% rate continues at £13,600.00

The Euro-Sterling rate is now £148.30 per year/£12.35 per month
