Fight for copyright - NUJ event in Wales
Gordon McLachlan, original author of 'The Rough Guide to Germany' and several subsequent editions is the guest speaker at a copyright event being organised by the NUJ's Cardiff & SE Wales branch in March.
Edinburgh NUJ member, Gordon, will describe his rough ride and legal battle with Penguin Books since they bought out the original Rough Guide publishers, and replaced him with new authors.
Gordon claims the new editions contain some of his previously published work, which has not been acknowledged or paid for.
He will also address copyright issues in general and leave time for a Q&A session. Free to members. Wine & nibbles.
