The union's Delegate Meeting (DM 2012) will take place from Friday 5 until Sunday 7 October 2012 in Newcastle.

Last date for registration of delegates and committee members is 1pm on Wednesday 5 September.
Background information -
DM 2012 is a rule-changing conference and motions should include their potential financial implications or the NEC will estimate the cost.
Composite A carried at the 2002 NUJ conference urged branches and bodies to table no more than 4 motions.
Please make your motions concise and keep to one subject per motion.
If possible, please email your motions and you will need to state that the motion was agreed at a properly called and constituted branch meeting.
The deadline for amendments and confirmations is 1pm on on Monday 23 July.
If you do not confirm your motion it will not appear in the Final Agenda.

Below are the dates and deadlines that branches and tabling bodies must adhere to for DM 2012:
Receipt of motions and nominations: 1pm on Friday 1 June
Receipt of Branch delegate nomination forms: Friday 15 June
Receipt of amendments and confirmation of motions and DM nominations: 1pm on Monday 23 July
