Getting help

 

Journalists' Charity
Requests for financial help are considered from all needy past and present journalists and their dependents. A 'one off' payment for essential items or a running grant to help with routine expenditure may be awarded.

The charity has sheltered housing accommodation for retired journalists and their dependents and offers a wide range of residential, nursing, respite care and care for those suffering from mental frailty.

International News Safety Institute, The Safety Zone

Public Services Not Private Profit
This is a joint union campaign launched to defend public services against privatisation and stand up for the rights of public sector workers.
The campaign has the support of 14 national trade unions including the NUJ, several campaigning organisations and dozens of MPs.
The campaign has led the fight to defend our public services and its aim is to put the struggle against privatisation firmly on the political agenda.
