Hive of balloting activity for NUJ and BECTU at Red Bee Media

NUJ members at media management company Red Bee Media are voting on industrial action over attacks on their established redundancy terms agreement.

Alongside colleagues from broadcasting union BECTU, the journalists are fighting efforts by Red Bee – which provides broadcast output and support for BBC television, Channel 4 and UKTV – to halve redundancy pay rights for new staff to two weeks’ pay per year of service.
The NUJ and BECTU are pressing for a resumption of negotiations on the issue as an alternative to industrial action.
